StationM is a community site for McDonald’s North America staff. The site allows McDonald’s to share important information with their employees and collect essential feedback via polls and surveys. It also allows staff across the continent to interact with each other sharing photos in the gallery and hosting discussions on the forum. Sharing the work with one of Dare Vancouver‘s talented developers, I was tasked with the frontend coding, setting up Expression Engine (EE) templates with multi-language support, and developing custom EE modules for the gallery and site search. The gallery module included features for posting a new photo, moderation, search, tagging, commenting, and “likes”. As planned, the newly rebuilt StationM is a big improvement over the previous site.
